DROPSHIP SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

OVERVIEW:

Tara Group are trialling a new service as a response to the impacts of the COVIT 19 crisis. This will enable our Trade Customers to sell to their customers online and through social media channels and Tara Group will ship directly from our warehouse to your customers. This new service offering is generally known as a “dropship” service and is currently available in the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland only.

The commercial/contractual/financial relationship and all contacts remain between the Trade Customer(you) and the End User(your customer).

Tara Group are currently developing an online portal and hope to have this ready to launch in 3/4 weeks. Dropship orders will be processed manually in the short term.

Some Definitions:

Supplier” is Tara Group.

Trade Customer” is defined as the Shop / Outlet that has an active wholesale trade account with Tara Group.

End User” is defined as the end customer.

“Dropship Service” is where the Supplier ships products directly to the End User on behalf of the Trade Customer.

Process:

  1. Tara Group will email stock updates twice weekly to Trade Customers until our portal is active. Current dropship charges will be advised on an ongoing basis and are subject to change. (charges will be available to view when our new Dropship portal is active).
  2. End-User places order with Trade Customer and makes payment to Trade Customer.
  3. Trade Customer places order with Tara Group using the Dropship Order Form.The following information must be supplied at time of ordering:
  • Full End User Name and Delivery address including Eircode / Postcode
  • An active mobile phone number and email address for End User.
    Tara Group will not retain this information once the delivery to the End User is complete.
  • Product Code / Product Description and quantity required.
    Tara Group are not responsible for any errors due to inaccurate information being supplied.
  1. Tara Group will confirm that stock items are currently available to Dropship and will contact Trade Customer for payment. Payment in full by credit / debit card before order is released is only option available.
  2. Trade Customers must ensure that they advise the End User to retain all original packaging until they have checked/accepted the products.
  3. Where any damage is found it must be reported by the End User to the Trade Customer within 48 hours of delivery. The trade customer must report the damage to Tara Group by email to dropshipping@taragroup.ie within a further 24 hours.
    All damages must be accompanied by clear photographs and the tracking / order number.
    Tara Group do not provide a customer care service for dropship products and will not interact with End Users under any circumstances.
    Products must be fully repacked and returned in original packing.
    Tara Group will arrange an uplift of the damaged item and arrange a replacement to be delivered to the End User.
  4. An End User that purchases goods online has the right to return goods to the Trade Customer under the EU Distant Selling regulations a copy of which can be found here:  https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/consumer_affairs/consumer_protection/consumer_rights/distance_selling.htmlIf an End User chooses to exercise their right to return goods to the Trade Customer, it is the responsibility of the End User to return the product in its original packing and in a saleable condition to the Trade Customer.
    If a Trade Customer sells an item to an End User on their own premises, this does not constitute distant selling and the Trade Customers own terms of sale apply.
    Tara Group can facilitate the uplift of the item from an End User back to the Trade Customer at the dropship rate for this item. Tara Group will not be held responsible for any damages that occur during this process.
  1. In the event of a picking mistake by our warehouse Tara Group must be notified via email by the Trade Customer by email to dropshipping@taragroup.ie with the original order number and Tara Group will arrange for the incorrect item (in original packing)  to be uplifted from the End User and the correct product to be re delivered.
  1. If an End user decides to cancel an order after we have dispatched we will not be able to stop the delivery. In this case please refer to the returns process in point 7.
  1. In the event of a Trade Customer requesting a delivery to an End User on a pallet, the Trade Customer must make the End User aware that the delivery method will be via The Pallet Network and is a roadside based delivery service. (The driver will not strip the pallet or take the empty pallet away)
  1. Tara Group will not be held responsible for any consequential loss for any reason.
  2. The placing of an order for Dropship is deemed as acceptance of our terms and conditions.
  3. Tara Group retains the right to suspend a Trade Customers dropship account for any reason.
  4. A minimum spend of €1,000 per month (excluding vat) is required on a Trade Customers wholesale account to maintain a Dropship This condition is suspended until the end of July 2020.

Tara Group are not in a position to supply End User customer care and are unable to facilitate interactions with End Users.  

These Terms & Conditions are valid from the 22nd of April 2020 until further notice and maybe subject to change without prior notice.
